I have lotus1-2-3 release 4 on my old computer. I wanted to putthe
program on my new computer but 2 of the 6 floppies are unreadable. I
tried Dell and Lotus for a solution. They didn't even try. I
subsequentially read about a program - Eisenworld's that willtransfer
programs from one computer to another - with no details I also I saw a
pop-up for Lotus Smartsuite V9.7 with Lotus 1-2-3. Before I start
ordering things I would like to know if either of these is a viable
option.

Why don't you just install MS Excel or an equivalent on your new PC.
It can read your 123 files, and it will take you into the 21th century
;)
Ofcourse you can transfer your worksheets with floppies.
If you have a lot to transfer and floppy or CD is no option you can
try laplink, I used it to make the harddisk from my very old PC a
zipfile on my new one (the new harddisk is 1000 times larger hehe).

success!
