I bought my car used, so I am not familiar with where the aftermarket
parts came from. It has 17x7 rims, with a 4x100 bolt pattern. It
looks similar to the Enduro style from Rage, but it has only 10
spokes. It has a matte silver finish, with a chrom lip. I cracked
one of them, and I would like to replace it, but I cannot find a
replacement. New or used is fine. I will add a link to a picture
tomorrow.

I am surprised that I did not find a website for Rage. Also, on the
rim itself you can read the letters "BSATOP" but that also comes up
with few links when searched for on Google.

I have found a retailer on eBay which sells the same style of rim
under the name "RVM S-1" but they are fully chrome, and they don't
have the Rage center cap, so it would look quite strange.

I a perplexed by the lack of information on the Rage brand online.

Actually, the hyper-silver rim offered on eBay (RVM S-1) is exactly
the rim I'm looking for, just without the Rage center cap. Note the
price is $350 + shipping for a set of 4, so the price for a single rim
should be suitable cheaper.

Okay, I'm now pretty convinced that it's the BSA racing style 178.
The RVM S-1 and the rage names are just rebadged BSA racing wheels.
BSA is a manufacturer: http://www.bsa.com.my/

The first few times I browsed their catalog, I didn't see the rim, but
now I see they were showing a 15" version, which looks quite different
than the 17" version.

Right now I'm measuring my wheel, and I'm getting 8" in width.
However, I see that they don't offer an 8" wide version. So, I've
lowered the price of my question, since now I'm wondering the right
way to measure a rim. If I have a 17x7 rim, how do I measure the
width and diameter to arrive at these numbers?

So, with the BSA model 178 information in hand, I went to a local tire
retailer, and asked if they could get a hold of that rim. Sure
thing, they could. But I forgot my credit card. I decided to bring
in my rim when I went back, so that they could do the measurements on
it, to make sure I get the same rim as I have now. When I show them
the rim, they say, "oh, that's the rage race 10" Apparently Rage is a
brand name specially for "America's Tire Co." or "Discount Tire Co."
Not sure why that's so hard to figure out, but I thought I would
document it here, in case anyone else is in the same position of
needing the rims, but not knowing where to go.

Oh, and the offset of the rim is imprinted on one of the spokes on the inside.
I guess that's a case closed. Having to write up the question on
google helped me think about how to do the search in a new way, which
ultimately got me to try some new things that solved my problem.
Yay.
