Having just completed my first virtual cyber date (quite successfully
I might add, though it may not have been the kind of thing you're
after) I could make some educated guesses as to what 'quissu' means .
. .

but before I make a fool of myself ... again .... could we have some
context for this word?

what's the sentence?

online fools unite...
No context really. this word actually appears as the potential wooer's
handle, except that it is spelled "quisssuuuu".
There may prove to be no real significance...have typed "quissu" into
search engines and it seems Italian in origin, with no literal
translation on offer.
Suffice to say: as incurable romantic, am hoping for spiritual
significance in word alone. Tell me it means "Doormat" or
"babysitter". I can handle it.

p.s. Am I meant to take offence at "kind of thing you're after"?
Can do if you want. Are you able to explain within the confines of
this text box what any of us is after? If so, do tell!

In the romantic context, might the username that is a variant of
"quissu" be a pun on "kiss you?"

my first guess was pink's idea . . .

but if we could discover what language this is:
"Sarà da veru maiori quissu u paradossu chì ci taglia u ghjudiziu"

then an online ????-english dictionary might be able to define it . . .

puh-lease don't take offense; no offense intended . . . mine was a
cyber fling with no basis in consensus offline reality as we know it .
. . that's what I meant: my guess is you're looking for something more
substantive in the world of time & space . . .

so to speak....

The Italian words for a song in an Italian dialect ("quissu" in the second verse):

Presumably, "quissu" being tranlated as "this" does not answer your question.

The words quoted by Timespacette seem to be written in Corsican:

Entering "ce" as French word ("Francese") and choosing "Mot entier"

will provide "quissu" as Corsican translation.

thanks all for musings. I suspect, on reflection, that pink's guess is
probably the most viable. It wasn't until I found the apparently
Corsican text which ts has posted, and then found it to be seemingly
without translation, that I became curious. This is my first venture
into google answers, and I'm sure I'll be back.
