Hi. I'm attempting to copy movies on CD_RW discs to play on a
television. Movie is in real player format. My televsion instructions
say that CD-Rw is acceptable. But after i burn it, i get message on
t.v. that disc can not be played. I know i'm doing something wrong.
Thanks.

Hi,
The reason why its not working is that the movie needs to be converted
to a format which is recognized by DVD players such as SVCD and VCD.
You can convert your file to these formats using a software such as
DVD2SVCD or TheFilmMachine found for free on the internet. CD-RW is
acceptable BUT that is only for MP3 files not for movie files burnt on
CD-RW. You can burn movie files on CDRW but they need to be converted
to VCD or SVCD (or DivX if your player allows it). If you give your
dvd player's exact model number, I can help you out more.

Just an additional comment...even if your DVD plays CDRW it doesn't
mean they will play SVCD or VCD format...it could be purely for MP3
playback...
As mentioned, knowing the model # of your DVD player will help.

I personally use TMPGenc to do my conversions...this site here is a
great help for video questions:
