What is the average number of telephone minutes used per month, inbound and outbound, per worker in a US business? I am trying to get some research on the number of minutes used by corporate phone users in the United States on a per person basis for desk phone usage. Not interested in cell phone or home usage. Actual statistics and sources where I can review statistics will be helpful. | |

If this site doesn't have some statistics for you I dont know who will.... http://www.forrester.com Also if you contact them and ask for the first report as a sample, they will just send it to you in an email. You could also try this site: http://infousa.com/ Cheers! |

I have been looking for the exact same information. After speaking with some telecom traffic engineers I have found the following: Average Number of Outboud Minutes is between 800 and 1,000 The Split between local and LD is 3:1 - 66%Local, 33%LD Typically the ratio of Outboud to Inbound Minutes is 3:1 there fore the Inbound Minutes should be between 266 and 666. please let me know if you find any information cpostier@gmail.com |

Well, this is valuable information but doesn't provide the details I am looking for on the telephone component. It does tell me the total minutes on average but I need details on how the total minutes breaks down. How many inbound minutes? How many outbound minutes, etc.? |

I have asked the same quesion regarding average inbound vs outbound minutes of use. first glance you would think it would have to be 50/50, but that would be wrong. The average I have heard is that its 70/30 - outbound to inbound. Please let me know if you are able to find any documented information |
