Hello ruthlessman-ga,

Many people who use computers daily choose Mozilla as their browser. I
personally use it, and also use their email client instead of Internet
Explorer and Outlook. Mozilla is a browser, just like IE, that lets
you surf the web, book mark favorites, etc. The main reason people
choose Mozilla over IE is its ease of use and better security
features.

Mozilla has an advanced popup blocker that notifies you when popups
are blocked. You can also block pop-ups on a site per site basis.

It offers tabbed browsing. For example, when I center click my mouse
on a link, it opens in a tab in the same window. If I have a few tabs
open, it essentially looks like file folders in the open window. It's
the BEST feature I think. You use CTRL T to open a new tab from your
keyboard.

You can do keyword searches. You can set up (you have to do this, it
does not come with them in place, it's customizeable) keyword searches
so that you can get to pages easier. For example if I type "g apples"
it does a google search for apples for me. If I type in "f" It takes
me to the site I have designated as that letter.

It has many many less security flaws than IE, and is much safer to
use. Same for their e-mail client.

101 things Mozilla can do that IE can not.

I reccomend education yourself on Mozilla, using it, and getting their
email client as well.

also use their products. If you have any addition questions, feel free

Mozilla is the competition of Internet Explorer. I suggest you keep it
and study its features, it's very good. You have tabbed browsing, a
built-in popup blocker and very few security problems.

Okay but how do the words Mozilla and Firefox relate to each other? Do
they point to the same things?

Firefox is Mozilla's current IE clone. I personally use firefox, and
find it very useful. i have never had any problems with Firefox (or
any browser made by Mozilla) redirecting to porn sites, giving me
pop-ups, making clones of itself, etc. I would suggest you try it
out. it is just like internet explorer, but more functional, less
flawed, and most importantly i've observed it to load pages faster.

Why do you call it "The Firefox" and not just "Firefox"?

Mozilla is an organization that produces and distributes software. The
Mozilla suite is software that includes a web browser, mail and news
client, html editor and IRC chat client. Firefox is a standalone web
browser (ie it doesn't do anything but browse the web - for the other
functions above you need other software). Thunderbird is the email and
newsgroup client from Mozilla.
