Dear malgeo-ga;
Thank you for allowing me to answer your interesting question.
Historical accounts of the attack on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii almost
universally indicate that the bombing began on December 7, 1941 at
approximately 0755 hrs. local time, with the target being Wheeler
Field, eight miles from Pearl Harbor. However, official Naval logs
compiled for the Pearl Harbor Court of Inquiry Hearings indicate that
the first enemy ordnance, dropped much earlier at 0645, were bombs (or
perhaps depth charges) that targeted the supply ship USS Antares. By
official accounts the air raid on Pearl Harbor itself began at 0743
hrs.
Chronology Of The Attack From The Deck Logs Of The Vessels Moored At
Pearl Harbor December 7 1941

Some 7-9 hours (varying accounts) after the surprise attack on Pearl
Harbor on December 7, 1941, General Douglass MacArthur was notified at
his Manila apartment of the attack in Hawaii (which, by then, being
across the international date line, was actually December 8 local time
in the Philippines). Within an hour Japanese airplanes bombed US
occupied Clark Field just outrside Manila. In the day that followed
the Japanese also bombed Wake Island, Guam, Malaya, Thailand, Shanghai
and Midway. A second attack that did strike portions of Manila took
place on December 27, 1941.
?Word of the Pearl Harbor attack reached the Philippine Islands by
commercial radio shortly after 3:00 a.m. (local time) on the morning
of December 8. Due the time zones and the International Date Line,
this announcement arrived while the second wave of enemy planes were
returning to the aircraft carriers from their deadly mission at Oahu.
Within half-an-hour the American radar station at Iba Field on the
west coast of Luzon plotted a formation of airplanes approaching
Corregidor at the mouth of Manila Bay from 75, miles off-shore.?

So, in answer to your question, no, the Japanese did not bomb downtown
Manila on December 7, 1941, but Clark Field outside the city; and no,
the bombings were not simultaneous, rather the Japanese bombings of
Pearl Harbor and Manila took place roughly ten hours apart.
I hope you find that my answer exceeds your expectations. If you have
any questions about my research please post a clarification request
prior to rating the answer. Otherwise I welcome your rating and your
final comments and I look forward to working with you again in the
near future. Thank you for bringing your question to us.
