I hear the former CEO of GlobalCrossing is building a $50,000,000 house in Florida, one of the two states in the country where you can build a house if you're bankrupt. The other state is Texas. This despite the fact that 35,000 GlobalCrossing employees are out of work. Can you supply a good article referencing this information? |

Hi, Here is the article from Monday's USA Today that states there are five states that will allow people to keep their homes if you're bankrupt. It also discusses 2 Global Crossing CEO's home construction along with floks from Enron and Martha Stewart. http://www.usatoday.com/money/economy/housing/2002-07-15-rich-infamous-homes.htm This article also refers to the information you requested it is from today's New York Observer. It states that there were 9000 people put out of work. http://www.observer.com/pages/story.asp?ID=5666 I hope this helps, lisaradha |

rated this answer:![]() Outstanding work. I got two hyperlinked articles, very promptly, with factual corrections to my information. I'm very pleased with this researcher and with Google for offering the service. |
