Although the place name is "Tat Momoli", the record indicates an
alternate name is Jack Rabbitt (two words). You can see just a bit

Sorry I'm not very clear this morning, two Grandkids are helping me.
You have done great!
This question is my last one and it's been driving me crazy.
I guess I'm wondering what they need for a correct question.
This is what I have with your help:
Beaver, Utah
Carp, Nevada
Jackrabbit and Gila, Arizona
Salmon, Idaho
Gila, New Mexico
Are Ghost town real Towns and should I list Jackrabbit, Nevada with Carp.

Here's my best crack at it.
If you focus on the names of "inhabited places" (ignoring counties,
ghost towns, etc), then the list winds up looking like this:
Beaver, UT
Salmon, ID
Gila, NM
Carp, NV
Jack Rabbit, AZ
Whaddya think, Gramps...?

Hey, It's Granny to you!
I think it's great BUT I am finding a Gila Arizona and it does seem to
be a real town, they even have moving company's listed.
Leaving out the Ghost town's my answer matches your except for Arizona
I have found both real towns of Gila and Jackrabbit.
You're time is appriciated, more than you could know!

Hi Granny (sorry 'bout that!),
I included Gila, AZ on the original list I gave you:
Gila .......... (county)
(World, North and Central America, United States, Arizona)
but it's a county, rather than a town, so I excluded it from final consideration.
As far as I know, there is only a Gila County in AZ, but no town by
that name (there's a "Gila Bend", but no "Gila"). If you've found
otherwise, please give me a link to the site, so I can check into it a
bit further.

You're right, there is a Jackrabbit, NV.
But...assuming that there's going to be one town in each state, then
NV has to go with Carp, since there's only one town by that name, and
it's in Nevada.
With Nevada spoken for, that leaves Jackrabbit for AZ.
Make sense...?

Assuming is my problem. Might they wont more than one answer for each question
and if so would you agree that it would be as follows:
Utah Beaver (only)
Idaho Salmon (only)
New Mexico Gilo (only)
Nevada Carp and Jackrabbit
Arizona Jackrabbit and Gila #1 (are both Jackrabbit cities listed one
word or is one listed as Jack Rabbit)
#2 Are not Ghost Cities real cities
#3 In breakdown above have I indeed listed
all possibilities including Ghost Towns
#4 Which of these (animals)are listed as Towns,
as Cities, could this make a different
Anyway I think you get what I'm tring to say, I wont to consider the
possibility that the contest wont's only one Town to a State, but I
wont to know every single town for each state, so that I can have the
second option of listing more than one Town for each state.
Could Town be the key word here, not City but Town.

Hello again,
I'm at a loss for telling you what the contest folks might want for an
answer -- I simply have no familiarity with this particular contest,
so I'm afraid you're on your own for that one (well...not on your own,
really. There's always the grandkids).
As for your other questions:
#1 (are both Jackrabbit cities listed one word or is one listed as Jack Rabbit):
Differents sources have it different ways, even for the same town, but
it definitely is more common to have it as one word rather than two,
so I would suggest going with one word.
#2 Are not Ghost Cities real cities
Yes they are (well...real TOWNS anyway), as they're listed on maps,
and in databases, etc.

The Getty database that I used just shows them as "inhabited places"
so there's not much to go on there. However, these all seem to be
rather tiny entities more or less out in the middle of nowhere, so I
think it's pretty safe to call them all towns.
