I am looking for a primary source, direct citation of Mother Teresa saying or writing something to the effect: "We do not believe in class struggle (or conflict) but in class encounter: where the rich save teh poor and the poor save the rich." | |

I'm pleased to have been able to help you locate a source for the quotation. As noted above, this quote may be found on pages 97-98 of the book "No Greater Love," by Mother Teresa (ISBN: 1577312015). It appears within a chapter whose title is "On Poverty & the Poor." "We have no right to judge the rich. For our part, what we desire is not a class struggle but a class encounter, in which the rich save the poor and the poor save the rich." Amazon: No Greater Love http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1577312015 I located the quote with the use of Amazon's A9 search engine: A9: "the rich save the poor and the poor save the rich" http://a9.com/%22the%20rich%20save%20the%20poor%20and%20the%20poor%20save%20the%20rich%22 Best regards, pinkfreud |
