We are converting the third floor of our 1910 brick foursquare home
into a master bedroom and plan to install one inch hexagonal tile
flooring in the bathroom. I have found several manufacturers of this
tile, but I would like to find some patterns (photos, drawings, etc.)
that we can use to choose a design. We need pattern options for the
field of the floor as well as patterns for a border. We plan to use
white tile with black as the accent color. So far, I've found this
site: http://www.restorationtile.com/hexagon.html and a few patterns
at www.daltile.com. While they give us a few options, I'm hoping for
a greater selection of choices as well as bigger samples so we can
show our border and field choices to our contractor.

Greetings,

This is a free comment and not an "answer" to your question.
Personally, I would go with something simple like the 5th and 6th
photos under "installations" on Restauration website. Too much
pattern, I feel, will look cluttered and make the bathroom seem
smaller and not be period with the house.

Here is a very interesting site about tiling. It probably won't be
much help to you, though it does have some hexagonal patterns:
http://www.ics.uci.edu/~eppstein/junkyard/tiling.html

And in case you are interested in some background, this could be
interest, not for patterns. (I am envisioning encaustic tiles with no
glaze, which may be incorrect.)

Unfortunately, I was also unable to find a site with lots of hexagonal patterns.

I hope a Researcher will have more luck for you.
