I?m having trouble understanding 3 lines of a song called ?Dentro Un
Altro Si?. The 3 lines are indicated in UPPER CASE below.

Would you please:
(1) Explain what the 3 lines mean (literally, word for word),
(2) Review the entire translation, and tell me if there are any errors.

Thank you!

Sai l?amore cambia in noi,
You know love changes in us,
cambia forma e poi
	changes form and then
piano se ne va.
	SLOWLY IF IT GOES. (?)

Così rimaniamo qui,
	So we remain here,
indifesi noi,
	defenceless US, (?)
persi e fragili.
	lost and fragile.

Noi, che eravamo così simili,
We, how we were so alike,
senza paure, senza limiti.
	without fears, without limits.

Ma io lo ritroverò, l?amore che non ho.
But I will recover it, the love that I do not have.
Per le vie del mondo
Through the ways of the world
io ti ritroverò,
	I will find you again,
prima o poi così,
	sooner or later like so,
dentro un altro si.
	within another ONE. (?)

Io avrò la forza per
I will have the strength in order to
trovare l?energia
	find the energy
nella vita mia.
	in my life.

Rinascerò da questi brividi
I will revive from these shudders
in territori vasti e liberi
	in territories vast and free.

rambler-ga,
I have no knowledge of Italian, but a translation appears on this
page. I don't know how accurate it is. Does this help?

To answerfinder-ga:

Thank you for the reference to the Il Divo website, where someone
named JANIQUE has provided a translation for many of the songs on the
IL Divo album.

JANIQUE's translation is a good starting point for someone like me who
does not understand Italian and Spanish at all.

However, upon closer examination, I found that JANIQUE had made some
of the same mistakes as me. For example, translating "se ne va" as
"if it goes". (As Pinkfreud points out, the proper translation should
be "it goes away".)

I am not a native speaker of Italian, but, as an opera love, I have
picked up quite a bit. I'm fairly certain that your "se ne va" means
"goes away."

Ooops. In my comment above, for "as an opera love," please read "as an opera lover."

i'm not an opera-lover, but i'm a native italian speaker.
here goes the corrected (CAPITAL LETTERS )translation plus the 3
missing lines (***):

Sai l?amore cambia in noi,
You know love changes in us,
cambia forma e poi
	changes SHAPE and then
piano se ne va.
	***slowly it goes away

Così rimaniamo qui,
	So we remain here,
indifesi noi,
***defenceless we (= we, [who are] defenceless)
persi e fragili.
	lost and fragile.

Noi, che eravamo così simili,
	We, THAT were so alike,
senza paure, senza limiti.
	without fears, without limits.

Ma io lo ritroverò, l?amore che non ho.
But I will recover it, the love that I do not have.
Per le vie del mondo
Through the ways of the world
io ti ritroverò,
	I will find you again,
prima o poi così,
	sooner or later like so,
dentro un altro si.
	***within another YES.

Io avrò la forza per
I will have the strength in order to
trovare l?energia
	find the energy
nella vita mia.
	in my life.

Rinascerò da questi brividi
I will revive from these shudders
in territori vasti e liberi
	in territories vast and free.

hope it helps

To Pinkfreud:

Thank you! This makes much more sense than my original translation.

Sai l?amore cambia in noi, cambia forma e poi piano se ne va.
You know love changes in us, changes form and then slowly GOES AWAY.

I'm amazed how similar French and Italian are with respect to that phrase:
French: S'en va
Italian: Se ne va
English: Goes away

To pistacchio-ga

Thank you so much! This is a big help.

However, I have one little question for you:
	"dentro un altro SI"
	"within another YES" (???)

Do the Italians often end their sentences with the word 'yes'? I just
don't get the intent of that sentence. Can you help explain its
meaning?
