I'm looking for a modern DHTML Drag & Drop JavaScript sample which
works in Internet Explorer 6 and Firefox 1.0. It should be fairly
simple and if possible documented so I can understand it. It should
not work in older browsers like NS4 or IE4 because I'm looking for
something relatively lean and W3C-standardized. If you can take me
through the necessary steps to write it that would be fine as well. I
am not looking for something as big and backwards-compatible (and
feature rich) like http://www.walterzorn.com/dragdrop/dragdrop_e.htm .
I'm looking for something much much simpler so if you can just tell me
the basics that would be great.

You might want to check out http://brainjar.com/dhtml/drag/ - it's
pretty straightforward and is lightly commented. Be sure to check out
the link to the demo near the top of the page. Hope this helps!

By now I'm using Walter Zorn's library and it works good. There may
also be a "light" version in the future. Thanks!
