I'm looking for a modern DHTML Drag & Drop JavaScript sample which works in Internet Explorer 6 and Firefox 1.0. It should be fairly simple and if possible documented so I can understand it. It should not work in older browsers like NS4 or IE4 because I'm looking for something relatively lean and W3C-standardized. If you can take me through the necessary steps to write it that would be fine as well. I am not looking for something as big and backwards-compatible (and feature rich) like http://www.walterzorn.com/dragdrop/dragdrop_e.htm . I'm looking for something much much simpler so if you can just tell me the basics that would be great. |

You might want to check out http://brainjar.com/dhtml/drag/ - it's pretty straightforward and is lightly commented. Be sure to check out the link to the demo near the top of the page. Hope this helps! |

By now I'm using Walter Zorn's library and it works good. There may also be a "light" version in the future. Thanks! |
