We need a to name our new "TiVo for radio" service. It should be
available as a domain name, short, easy to spell, work as a verb, and
catchy. The service makes it easy to find and use radio from around
the globe when and where you like. It is more focused on spoken word
programming than music.

Dear radiotime,

If I understand correctly, you'll be competing with webradio
aggregators such as ShoutCast and Live365. The name suggested in the
Comment below is catchy indeed, but you should thoroughly consider
whether it sends the right signal -- excuse the pun -- about your
service. The primary audience for this new outfit will be radio
listeners, won't it? Radcast sounds like something a broadcaster might
do, not a listener.

Personally, I prefer that the name of a service reflect what it does
for me and not for those who profit from my patronage. That is why the
name Live365 speaks to radio listeners more loudly than the name
ShoutCast. The latter actually refers to the radio streaming software
used by web broadcasters, while the former emphasizes the listening
experience made available to all users.

In any event, I offer the following 51 names for your consideration.
All are available in the .com top-level domain at the time of this
writing.

radcast is good, thanks.

In fact I had been looking at the same tonight along with lots of
variations from podcast.

I purchased it now and will pay if we use it.

The drawback is "rad" is a little 80s, also our service appeals to
35-50 (I suppose they'll remember rad).
