I am attending an American university which has an on-campus
television station. I want to make a television show similar to
ESPN's Pardon the Interruption (aka PTI), with debate mixed with some
taped segments.
I would really like the onscreen graphics to look similar to those of
PTI. What software can I use to make them? I found this screenshot,
altered, but the graphics are the same:

The live video is shrunken slightly towards the upper left; on the
right is timer counting down, a list of discussion topics with the
current topic highlighted. When the clock reaches zero, it restarts
and the next topic is highlight. The bottom of the screen has text
describing the topic.
I have found sites like this, with software and equipment for
television stations, and this or something similar is probably what
PTI uses: http://www.videodesignsoftware.com/products/gametrak.php
Pretty expensive stuff, but the difference is that PTI and the users
of this type of software/equipment need these graphics LIVE, whereas I
want to tape the show, and then afterward on my computer add the text
and the timer. What software will allow me to do this?
Thanks! |
