Hi alexpolanco,

If this does not cause you any inconvenience, I will have access to an
arabic keyboard in approximately 12 hours and will be able to answer
your question then.

Best regards,
Rainbow

I would prefer a culturally exact translation of the phrase, not just
a literal translation with an arabic keyboard. This is giong on an
educational publication. Thanks.

I am a fluent Arabic speaker based in the Middle East.

The translation I intend to provide you is not merely a literal
translation, but will be the exact meaning of "Alliance of
Civilizations". Could you please elaborate on your understanding of "a
culturally exact translation of the phrase".

Best regards,
Rainbow

The translation for "Alliance of Civilizations" is "Tahalouf al-Hadarat".

In Arabic script, it is written as below:

I want to answer this because I think I can shed some insight. A good
translation is "tahalouf al-hadarat"...it's almost a literal
translations but the words are carefully selected. "Tahalouf" is
Alliance. It is currently used to refer to the Iraqi Alliance that is
the coalition that supported the US and invaded Iraq. "Hadarat" is
standard term for civilizations.
