I am looking for the name of a song that use to come on all the time
on the radio back in 1989 or 1990.  It was a slow jam about a woman
sitting in front of a mirror (maybe brushing her hair) thinking back
on her life and all the regrets that she has.

Unfortunately, I have no idea who the artist is, all I can remember is
that is was a woman.

I would catagorize it as a slow R&B song.  I don't know if there was a

At the beginning of the song she sings that she is "sitting here"
"looking at my reflection" then (I think!) something about "leaving
you" because this is "not the life I wanted" or "thought I would
have", that she needs to "make a change".

I'm sorry I can't be more helpful...it's been rolling around in my
brain for so many years....

No, that's not it.  The voice sounded older and the song wasn't so
upbeat.  It was much slower.
