Question ID: 432384
I have a damaged (but usable) screen for my home theater projector. I
want to know names of any places that repair such equipment in or
around the city of Chicago. The screen is an Optoma Greywolf PM-9106
and the problem is that it doesn't lock in the down position, I
believe because a plastic piece in the interior broke off. Detailed
do-it-yourself instructions also welcome.

I have already contacted the manufacturer about potential help with
guiding me through a home repair and they do not respond to any method
of contact I have tried.

I mistook the product number. It is DS-9106PM.

You say that Optoma has been unresponsive. I sent your exact question
to Optoma and did get a response. They want to give you a NEW screen.
I have instructions on how this can be done. Are you interested.

Hello townimbecile,

Optoma seems to be sold primarily by non specialist dealers only. For
example, the 6 dealers in the Chicago area are all Office Depot
stores, and you will not get a repair or parts from them.

Repairs sems to be handled by the US office in California. However,
you might contact their support dept and see if it is a repair that
would be easy for you to do yourself and if they would supply you with
the part.

They can be reached here:

Hope this helps you to get your screen repaired.
