Here's a poser: of all the signed up users of GA, which non-researcher has the claim to the earliest sign up. Prolific probonopublico-ga first came on the scene 16th June 2002 with a slimy question involving snails and is still going strong. Oh yes, they still have to be active (= activity in the last 3 months or so, say). |

Great question! I posted my first comment in July 2002. I guess we're all just dreaming of becoming a researcher one day. |

Here's an early one (22 Apr 2002): "Searched all questions for johnfrommelbourne-ga" Google Answers http://answers.google.com/answers/search?q=johnfrommelbourne-ga&qtype=all&num=10&sort=qestartts%3AA%3AR%3Ad1 Top that! |

Mt first posting was June 21, 2002 (under apteryx-ga). I started reading here sometime earlier that month without signing up. So I'm not senior to Bryan, but a pretty close contemporary. Archae0pteryx |

Wow ... Isn't that Justaskscott brilliant! And so modest with it ... Just like John of Melbourne who has kept quiet about his claim to the Hall of Fame. Using the same technique, I've now plundered the archives and have discovered an unanswered question dated June 19 2002: http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=29444 Come on Researchers there's gold in them there archives! Also take a look at this ... http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=182 This Question was posted at 16:04 and the Answer arrived only FOUR MINUTES later! So why can't we have the same responsiveness today? Puzzled of Hove |

bonzo-ga asked his first question on 20 April 2002: http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=2266 He also commented on one the same day: http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=33 He asked last question on 7 Nov 2004: http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=425753 Maybe not as frequent a user as johnfrommelbourne-ga, but it appears he was earlier and is still active. :) |
