wilbur9591 -- Oh, all right, I'll bite the bullet and answer this one too. Based on the logic of the other riddle, the answer to this one has to be the letter "E". That is, the letter "E" completes "the sequence," which is a phrase that ends with an "e". The trick to answering both of these riddles is to read the riddle literally. In your first riddle, when told to strike out "ten letters," you literally were to strike out the letters "t e n l e t t e r s" in order to reach the answer. In this riddle, you are asked for a letter that completes "the sequence." Understood literally, the letter "e" ends (i.e. "completes") the phrase "the sequence." Search strategy: More headscratching and then a decision that the best answer (indeed the only good answer)is the one using the logic of the first riddle. If anything about this answer is unclear, please ask for clarification before rating it, and I would be happy to work with you further. markj-ga |

I back markj's answer. My logic is centered around the question mark. For both of the questions below I would say that 'Y' is the answer. What letter completes the sequence S O E N S Y ? What letter completes the sequence: S O E N S Y Since the question was asked after the word sequence, however, i think 'e' is the right conclusion. In general I like riddles to have meaning in everything, adding the 6 letters after seems cheap...but riddles never play fair. Of course there is no 'right' or 'wrong'...we may all be correct in our own eyes and all be completely foolish in the eyes of the riddles author. I'm just throwing my logic out there for you. I suppose another way to look at it is markj got the $10...right or wrong he wins. -Fractl |

There are seven planets associated with male deities in classical mythology. These are uranuS, plutO, neptunE, saturN, marS, mercurY, and jupiteR. The remaining two planets, eartH and venuS, are associated with female deities. Hence, the letter R would very nicely complete the given sequence. leapinglizard |

using the logic involved in the answer provided as "e" couldnt any letter in the phrase "the sequence" complete it just because it ends with "e" doesnt mean thats the letter that completes it you could remove any letter in that phrase and it would be incomplete and therefore adding it would complete "the sequence" |
