jami3-ga,

As an FYI, GA Researchers are often reluctant to tackle multi-part
questions, since finding, say, two out of three answers leaves us
unable to post a full answer and collect the fee for our research.

Can you offer any guidance in this regard...?

I would pay the $50 for two out of three answers to this three part question.

ummm...it's a four-part question!

"Ball of Twine" (1963), Roy Lichtenstein

"Shot Orange Marilyn" 1964, Andy Warhol

"Campbell's Soup Can" 1965 (Pink & Red Tomato), Andy Warhol

"Bathtub Collage number 3" 1962, Tom Wesselmann

Are you suggesting that any two of the above would suffice, or did you
have something else in mind?

P.S. I'm not trying to dodge the task of researching all four...just
not expecting to *find* the information on all four.

Sorry - I will pay for three out of four.

Thanks.

Finding the media seems do-able.

However, I don't see any way of readily finding out if the originals
were behind glass or not, so I'll probably have to pass on your
question.

Perhaps another researcher will have more luck (or skill!).

As far as I can determine, the media are as follows:

Ball of Twine - Magna (a type of acrylic paint) on canvas

Shot Orange Marilyn - Screenprint on paper

Campbell?s Soup Can - Acrylic on canvas

Bathtub Collage - Mixed media (real hamper, door & towel rail)

As pafalafa states above, I don't see how anyone could ascertain
whether either of the paintings on canvas is framed and behind glass,
except by going to see them; but my impression is that many
Lichtensteins and Warhols are NOT framed. There is no "original" of
the Marilyn screenprint, but normally screenprints are framed behind
glass. Bathtub Collage is a 3D assemblage, and therefore impossible to
frame.
