What are the requirements for becoming ACPE providers? My hospital
wants to start a program but I can't find the information for the
requirements we need to meet. I have been all over the ACPE website
but no luck. I also need to know prices.

Hello mobity-ga,
Are you looking for information for accreditation requirements of the
Association for Clinical Pastoral Education? Is this the ACPE website
you?re referring to http://www.acpe.edu/ ? Also, what information are
you looking for when you say ?need to know prices?? The price of what?
The more you can tell me about what you?re trying to accomplish, the
more likely I will be able to give you the information you need. I
look forward to your clarification.

Yes, I am looking for information for accreditation requirements of the
Association for Clinical Pastoral Education and am referring to the
ACPE website. I'm wanting to know how much it will cost our
institution to affiliate with ACPE in order to have our own program
where our chaplain can train students in becoming hospital chaplains
and allow them to get credit for it. Besides money I need to know what
other requirements we need to meet.
I have heard terms like extended and entensive training and wonder
what the cost is for each of them.
Thank you very much.

Hello again mobity-ga,
Thank you for the clarification. I?m reluctant to post this answer
because you say ?I have been all over the ACPE website but no luck.?
My search of http://www.acpe.edu/ shows a 56-page ACPE Accreditation
Manual that seems to go into great detail about how to get your
hospital accredited. This manual has some general information about
the costs involved. More detailed financial information is available
from the Regional websites. Please give me your geographic location
and I will be able to point you to the appropriate regional
accreditation information.
Please let me know if links to the above documents will meet your needs.
All the best.

I do have the 56 page manual. Thanks for checking first. The region
I'm in is the southern suburbs of Chicago. It could be the Midwest or
Northern Illinois.
Thanks again

Hello again mobity-ga,
Thank you for your response. I?m confused as to what additional
information you need beyond the very detailed Accreditation Manual. In
addition, you can get whatever help you need from the accreditation
contact person listed for the North Central Region (NCR). The NCR
website also has detailed documentation of the current and 2005 fees.
Please let me know what else you think is necessary to complete this
answer. Thanks.
