I am a Hong Kong Citizen (BNO) who will be marrying my boyfriend
who is a US citizen and also a Canadian permanent resident. We're
currently both living in Canada and planning to stay and work in
Canada after we get married. My question is what should my next step
be. Should i be applying for a green card even though we are planning
to stay in Canada or should i be applying for a Canadian permenant
residence status. And who can i call to get more information and help.
Thanks!

-we'll be getting married in Canada (possibly in May)
-my boyfriend is planning to apply to be a Canadian citizen in the
near future (duel citizen)

Since you both plan on staying in Canada, I recommend that you both
apply there. These things take time and money to complete; you're
better off not messing around with two different applications.

Here is the official Canadian immigration website: www.cic.gc.ca

There is are downloadable forms, Frequently Asked Questions, and also
phone numbers for you to call to get answers.
