Hello there Google folks. Okay, i have a website where i ((rarely))
sell these journals that i make.
Every journal is one of a kind and when someone is nice enough to pick
one out from the website it is automatically taken off my site and
replaced by another journal from a special "Stock" directory that I
maintain.
The problem that i have is that I'd like to have greater control of
the order in which the images that are uploaded. I name my files
things like a4.jpg and so on but i havent' really been able to figure
out which files my ftp thingie chooses to upload "first to
last"...there surely is some protocol that i just don't understand.
Can you tell me how to name my files so that i can control which
images get uploaded first? Please?
If there's any question that you'd like to put to me for clarification
please just drop a line, eh?
Thanks so much!

Hi,
How is your system set up?
How are the files being uploaded, what client are you using?
The configuration is probably in the client.
Thanks.

Hi there Endo~
Thanks for the response~
I use "cuteFTP" for uploading/ downloading
things to the website. It says that it's version 5.0 XP. so there.
beyond that i just don't really know....if there's something
really specific you'd like to know just drop a line with
instructions on how to get it!
Okay, thanks~

Hi,
What I don't understand is how it all works.
Do you have cuteFTP setup to upload files automatically at a give time
from a given directory or something?
What I'm trying to find out is the process that's going on.
Usually in cuteFTP you add files to a queue, and it processes the
transfers in the order of the queue. I need to find out how the queue
is created.
Thanks.

Hello there All of you friendly people.
Thanks so very very much for your suggestions!
Sorry that it's taken me this long to reply...holidays and all that, eh?
Okay, i think that i have figured out that it may not really be FTPs fault...
i think that it has something to do with the script ((or whatever it's
called)) that handles the backend part of the website. I'll ask my
friend that made the site to clarify the question for me.
Everyone has been so freaking helpful here. How do i pay you?
You've more than answered the question and really helped me get my
thinking straightened out....so, uh, yay~!
Okay, hope that everyone is well out there~

Well, it would be hard to quanify that for me, actually.
It helped alot that you suggested that it may not actually be
an FTP issue...or at least you put the idea in my mind.
Can you just end this thing so that i can pay someone and feel good
about myself again? (( ha ha ))
Okay, hope you are well~
