I have a business that requires special customized pickup services for
my customers. I am looking for a company or solution that would enable
my company to:
1. Pickup UNPACKED items(usually less than 70lb) from my customers
2. Give them a form to be filled out by my customers and then returned to me
3. Give them a reciept at the time of pickup
4. Package the items
5. Ship them to my address
I would like you to know that I need this service all around the USA
and I have been searching for this service for a long time and I have
tried everything from UPS Chain of Supply Solutions to Mail Boexes
ETC, and more, but I have not found an effiecient, organized and
cost-effective way of doing this. I would appreciate your help with
this matter. please reply only if you have a clear answer that solves
my problem. Let me know if you have any question about my inquery.
Thanks! |

Hi question4u,
Would Craters & Freighters be suitable?
WHEN TO USE CRATERS & FREIGHTERS:
Craters & Freighters is best when you have something to send that is:
* Large--their rates are best on pieces that are too big for UPS
* Delicate--Regardless of size, if it's a fragile piece like art,
antiques, and heirlooms, they'll pack it right
* Valuable--When you need comprehensive insurance coverage, even if
the piece is within UPS size limits
* Awkward--If anyone told you it can't be done, Craters & Freighters can do it.
"The company will pick up the item(s) at a customer's location and
transport it to a local Craters & Freighters center. There, the item
is carefully packaged and/or crated to ensure safe arrival at its
destination. The item is then transported by air or ground shipping
service."

No unfortunately Craters and Freighters would not work for me, since
they usually don't have a pickup service available all around the US
and if they do their fees are very high for small items(under 70lb),
so that wouldn't be cost-effective at all.
Thank you!

I suggest you change your criteria, and use the new service by the USPS:
Free Package Pickup From Your Home or Office
http://www.usps.com/mailerscompanion/mar2004/mc0304art1.htm
1. Pickup UNPACKED items(usually less than 70lb) from my customers (NO)
2. Give them a form to be filled out by my customers and then returned
to me (NO, but you can fax it to them)
3. Give them a reciept at the time of pickup (I assume they have some
sort of receipt)
4. Package the items (NO)
5. Ship them to my address (YES)
