I'd like to answer this one, but I don't think an accurate answer is
possible. Hedge funds are very lightly regulated, so there are few
sources of operational data for them. Moreover, the number of people
with that title or job description is fairly small, and the resources
of different hedge funds are widely divergent. Take those two facts
together, and you're left with the knowledge that the salary range is
likely very broad (ie. $25,000 to $2 million).
Add to that the fact that hedge funds tend to compensate individuals
based on fund performance. Even if you could get a listing of salaries
for people with that description, it would bear little similarity to
what they actually earn for their work.
