i need the following translated into latin - it is to be a tagline for a media arts course - 'wake up and start dreaming' - the context is that we want to give the sense of the student having to wake up to the demands of the university and the world of work but at the same time be at their most creative. we'd really appreciate a quick reply on this one please. thanks |

'Somnium' is probably not a totally appropriate translation - the word has connotations of foolishness and flippancy. The verb you would need is 'dormito', which presents a difficulty as this is inextricably linked to the state of sleep (making the 'wake up' part of the sentence relatively ridiculous). |
