Hi,

I'm looking for a monastery on a promontory where no women (and female
animals) have been allowed since the 11th century. It's at the foot of
a 2200m high mountain that bears the same name as the promontory. Male
visitors are allowed, but need a visa. What is the name of the
promontory?
Note: I have a picture to verify whether it's the right monastary, and
I need the answer by February 24th.

Dear edo_plantinga-ga,
I have found the promontory you are seeking, and according to
information I have found, the mountain rises to a height of 2,033 m
(all the sources agree on this). There are 20 monasteries on the
peninsula and woman are not allowed in any of them - nor in the entire
area. You can either post the image you have somewhere where I can see
it, or I can refer you to several web sites where you can view images
of the monestaries and identify the one you are are seeking.
