Can you provide some more information?
For example, any bus or trains you took during that day and if so,
what are the transport company names?
regards,

Try these:

1. Under the car seats
2. Between all cushions: car seats, sofas, chairs.
3. In the vegetable crisper.
4. Under the bathroom counter.
5. Under the bed, or, if there's a pile of booksnmagazines next to the
bed, in that.
6. In a pocket of the clothes she was wearing the day she lost them.
7. On top of the microwave or coffee maker.
8. On a surface that is the same color as the glasses.
9. No offense, but did you check the top of her head? (I. will. never.
get. those. hours. back. Never.)

Barring that, her prescription should be at the optometrists'.

Good luck. I feel her pain.

I once found mine between two blankets in a stack on the back of the
sofa in the living room. I had them when I got out of bed, and all I
did was get ready for work, and I didn't remember having anything to
do with those blankets. Yet there they were. Nobody else was even up
yet, so it was no prank, just my brainlessness.

This was after leaving them in a phone booth at the airport, in the
door pocket of a friend's car, on a table in a restaurant, in
countless meeting rooms and coworkers' cubicles, on the outside
windowsill of the garage, in the seat pocket on a plane, in the branch
of the almond tree, in my son's dresser drawer, on my husband's power
saw, inside a suitcase I had just put away, at the bottom of a tote
bag, in the pocket of my other jacket, on the shelf above the dryer,
in the crevice between two seats at the theatre, and, most memorably,
at the zendo at Green Gulch Zen retreat, from whence the nice person
in the office FedExed them to me. I learned early to keep a business
card inside the case.

But after the blanket episode, which involved tearing half the house
apart before I found them in that utterly inexplicable place (and
being very late for work), I said that was E-NOUGH. I took my glasses
case, punched a hole in it, ran a key-ring through it, attached the
key-ring to a clip-on badge holder, and wore the glasses case like a
holster everywhere I went except into the shower and to bed. If I was
up and dressed (even just in my nightgown), my glasses case and
glasses were firmly attached to me. I didn't care how stupid it
looked, it was better than those frantic searches and all the unwanted
attention to my absent-minded habits.

And did it work? Yes, for a year and a half, it did. For as long as
I was good with one pair of glasses that I wore only as needed. Now I
need three, and one is always on me. And the other two?--well,
they're not in the refrigerator or under the coffee table. . . .

Try map dowsing - basically involves holding a pendulum over a map and
watching for changes in its motion. I once found a wallet within
minutes using this technique. Take a look at dowsing.com

Navel, please tell us if your wife has found her spectacles. I've
been worrying about her for a month. And if she did--where were
they??

This is Navel's wife. I found my glasses some time ago between the
fridge and the cupboard. We had a new fridge delivered and in process
of getting rid of old, putting in new, it seems that my glasses were
knocked off of the counter. Thank goodness Navel is a clean freak and
pulled the fridge out to clean one day, or I'd still be blind. Thanks
for all the suggestions and even an offer of glasses from the person
who had Lasik performed. Much appreciated.
