Hello,

I saw a website today for a company called Prima IBC. The sell
wholesale lots of XBOX, PSP, and Ipods (a few other things as well).
There prices are not completely false like the Indonesian companies,
but they are fairly low (there is a pricelist at the website). One
thing that concerned me is that they give a US address, in Eugene, OR,
but the telephone number is not in the US. Could someone please
investigate this furthur and tell me if they are a scam or not? The
website is www.primatrade.us.

Thanks,
Matt

The telephone number is in the United States.

Area code 541 is Eugene Oregon.

011 is used for international calls.

You can check out the professional history of the owner of Prima here:

I cannot vouch for this company but so far I have not found anything suspicious.

Have you called the phone number provided? Remember to leave out 011 to do so.

Does this help?

Thank you very much. That does help alot. But does that company info
mean that it is definately not a scam? Or is there more info I need?

Dear Matt,

It is always easier to show evidence that a company is a scam.

It's very hard to guarantee that it isn't a scam.

I have not found evidence proving that this company is definitely
legitimate or definitely not legitimate.

That doesn't mean that it is legitimate company, but it seems to be
so. No one can guarantee that. I only can show you evidence that it
isn't which I haven't found.

Please let me know if this would be a satisfactory answer.

Thanks,
Bobbie7

Matt,

I did a search for Prima Trade and for Prima IBC at the two Oregon
databases below. There were no results for any of these names.

Perhaps you should call this company and ask for the registration
number of this company.

OK, I will try and call them again (no answer the first time) and find
out more. Is there any reason why they are not listed on Dunn and
Bradstreet (www.dnb.com)?

Matt,

I don't know why they are not listed on Dunn and Bradstreet or why
they aren't registered here:
