In September, 2004, my daughter's wedding video was stolen, along with
a Sony DCR VX2000 camcorder. These items were stolen or lost in the
Tampa, Florida area. The video was comprised of 6 or 7 small Fuji
video cassettes and labeled, "Quattrone Wedding." We put ads in the
newspaper, posted fliers and offered a $2,000 reward for their
return, which we will share with google if they are recovered. Can you
search the internet extensively to see if anyone is looking for the
owner of these items?

I'm going to take a different approach:

I work for a police agency myself and one of my additional
responsibilities is to oversee the section that handles lost and found
property. Just today, as a matter of fact, I scheduled about $100,000
worth of merchandise for public auction because the owner(s) never
came forward to claim the items. This section gets so much unclaimed
property that we actually have to do this about twice a year just to
keep it from piling up.

You'd be amazed at how many honest people there really are in this
world and what kinds of things get turned in to the police. I've had
purses with diamond jewelry and wallets with much as $800 in cash
turned in by citizens and public works personnel. I happen to know
that Tampa Police Department also has such a Property Division. It
won't hurt to contact them just to see if by chance your item has been
turned in by some honest citizen as well.

If this information results in the recovery of your property would you
be kind enough to let me know?

Good luck;
