Hi wurtzelman, The SAT combined score is the sum of the Mathematics section score and the Verbal section score. Information on the SAT exam can be found here: CollegeBoard: SAT http://www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/sat/about/SATI.html I hope this is helpful. Best regards, Rainbow |

http://www.barronstestprep.com/sat-format-change.html The SAT has added an extra section this year. The new perfect score is 2400, since you can also receive 800 points for the writing portion of the test. |

Each section is marked out of 800. When I took the SAT 6 years ago there were 2 sections. Math and Comprehension (effectively english reading), hence the total was 1600. I wasn't aware they added a third part, but I am sure they could have ( I am no longer a student). But if they did it would likely be 2400. |
