Hi wurtzelman,

The SAT combined score is the sum of the Mathematics section score and
the Verbal section score.

Information on the SAT exam can be found here:

CollegeBoard: SAT
http://www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/sat/about/SATI.html

I hope this is helpful.

Best regards,
Rainbow

The SAT has added an extra section this year. The new perfect score
is 2400, since you can also receive 800 points for the writing portion
of the test.

Each section is marked out of 800. When I took the SAT 6 years ago
there were 2 sections. Math and Comprehension (effectively english
reading), hence the total was 1600. I wasn't aware they added a third
part, but I am sure they could have ( I am no longer a student). But
if they did it would likely be 2400.
