My five year old wire fox terrier has a constantly runny nose which
drys & cakes up and itchy skin. We give him 1 or 2 Benadryl caps a day
but no success. Just wish we could train him to blow his nose. Any
ideas??

I would strongly recommend that you take the dog to a vet.

Believe it or not, he "could" be allergic to the Benadryl. I know I am.

I've recall answering a question regarding dog allergies and
medications. I'll try to find it and post it here for you.

The best advice is to get him to a vet for testing.

Best regards,

Post-nasal drip is common in fox terriers. Please don't medicate the
dog yourself; see a veterinarian.
