What's the latest on Ephedra?  Legal or illegal.  There are a few
websites where it is available, but very few.  Also, to the best of my
knowledge, no brick and mortar store sells it.  WHAT'S THE LATEST?

The Food and Drug Administration banned the sale of products
containing ephedra in April of 2004.

However, in April of 2005 the Utah Supreme Court partially overturned
that ban, allowing the sale of supplements containing 10mg or less of
the naturally-occurring stimulant per daily dose (in Utah).

Overseas sellers are not subject to this ban, which is why you can
still find ephedra products on the internet. If you look around you
can even find sites offering steriods that are illegal in the United
States. However if you order them and have them shipped into the US
you will be the one violating the law, by importing a controlled
substance.

I believe that it is illegal to sell ephedra as a *dietary
supplement*; as it says on the FDA site, "The Food and Drug
Administration (FDA) is issuing a final regulation declaring dietary
supplements containing ephedrine alkaloids adulterated..."
However, it is still available and legal as a treatment for asthma, as
it is a bronchial dialator. Here it talks about ephedra/ephedrine as a
treatment for asthma: "Despite the development of newer medications,
epinephrine and ephedrine remain available as OTC medications..."

I just bought the same stuff as Yohaan. I hope it works. I used it
almost ten years ago in Diet Fuel and ephedra has been the only thing
that works for weight loss for me. Have you had any success yet
