I urgently need literature on microwave oven design. Although any
sources is welcome, I prefer books or journal articles with in-depth
and comprehensive discussion, ie. uses advanced graduate-level math
(well, not really, but please, no first year physics textbook). Topics
includes but not limited to operation of magnetron and wave guide (in
context of microwave oven, not communication system), energy
absorbation of water. If it's a book I can buy, seller must be able to
ship to Canada.

Given the urgency you cite, I'll proffer this readily-available
online source from RepairFaq.org, which is centered around the
repair of microwaves, but goes into considerable depth regarding
their design, construction and operation:

Wade through it awhile, and let me know what you think...

Hi:

It's actually a very good sources, it answered a lot of question on
magnetron. However, it not as detailed as I'd expect. It didn't talk
about serveral important thing I'd like to know. For instace, there's
is no mention about how to derive effecincy of magetron. (Also, no
mention of waveguide etc, since it's targeted at repariing :P )

To give you a better idea, if I were asking about resources on
electical motor, I wish it at least as comprehensive/detailed as the
book "Principles of Electric Machines and Power Electronics"

Still, thanks a lot for that site.

Cheers,

No, They merely mention the term. It states magnetron has an
efficiency of 75%, but I need to know if that's theoretical maximum
efficiency, how to derive it, more importantly where the wasted energy
went (etc, etc).

Cheers,
