I'd like to see a graphical representation (in the form of an
animation or at least a time series of diagrams) of population growth
of local areas over time. I'm specifically interested in the Los
Angeles area, but if a service can be found that shows other
metropolitan areas as well that would be great. Additionally, I'd like
to be able to graphically see property values as they have changed
over time in an area (Los Angeles at least, but others as well if
possible). If only one of the two things can be found, the second is
preferable to the first.

Free information is preferable of course, but a reasonably priced paid
service is acceptable as well.

I'll assign you a bonus if you can find projections about future growth/values.
