I'm trying to find the name and contact details of the manufacturer of
the Little Squirt device. It's an Australian product which gets
plumbed in to the toilet somehow, providing a water jet. It's used by
cloth nappy users (so the Australian nappy sites are the places to
start, I should imagine)for easily spraying off poo from nappies
before they go into the nappy bucket. I bet it's not a question that
comes up frequently! Thanks.

Fantastic - $10.50 is a small price to pay for the hours you've just saved me!
This is the first time I've come across Google Answers and I'm already addicted!

As another Australian I think you did a good job too Scriptor. First
puzzle I assume was working out what lady meant by the word "nappy"
when most of the world calls it a diaper, does it not?????????????

Well, John from Melbourne, if by "most of the world" you mean the USA
and Canada, then yes, most of the world does call it a diaper.
However, in the UK it is called a nappy, and I believe it is also
commonly called a nappy in Australia and New Zealand. It's short for
napkin (and my mother in law's about the only person in the world who
insists on calling it that!). In the French-speaking world it's a
couche, and in the German-speaking world it's a Windel. Enough nappy
facts yet?!

By the way, I did try a Google search for Little Squirt myself, but
stupidly tried to search for this + manufacturer - so stupid of me not
to try +Australia. DOH!

And actually I'm not having much luck either, as I have been
completely unable to track down Kaitler Marketing, whom Flexispray
tell me I should contact not them (they gave me a phone number, but it
doesn't work, nor does the e-mail address Scriptor found). Any
thoughts anyone?!

Well nappylady,if your not in the right part of the world then perhaps
if phoning people at those numbers is inconvenient then perhaps I can
at only 22cents a time local call. I almost pass by the addresses
provided in any case but only every couple of weeks when I go home to
mother.

What say you to that or already been there /done that I expect.

John and Scriptor, you're so helpful. Many thanks. I think the problem
is the national freecall number - as I'm in the UK, I can't phone on
this number. But worry not (and thanks for your kind offer John) - I
have contacted an Australian friend who will call them for me and get
either a valid e-mail address or a number which can be used
internationally.

BTW as Google Answers is obviously chock full of people who can't help
puzzling things out, you're no doubt wanting to know the real question
of WHY! My website is www.thenappylady.co.uk. And then you'll also
realise why I'm called The Nappy Lady.

Cheers and thanks for all your help

Yes nappylady had a look at your well presented site and then thought
ironically perhaps you could help me. In another question from me on
GA asking if I had anything to worry about with a daughter only three
and already 1.15 metres tall and over 21 kilos already I skirted
around an issue related to nappies. My wife who lives in Indonesia
cant get nappies big enough for our litle girl. Obviously at three she
does not need them all the time but we use them as insurance when she
goes to bed, as I imagine many other parents do.
Her Mum uses disposables and prefers to having access to all the
major brands. But still the largest available is a squeeze around our
litle girl's big solid bum. Emma is not a fatso as such just a very
strongly built little Amazon woman
Any advice on where I could get an extra large disposable nappy.

John

I'm afraid I'm so NOT the person to ask about where to source
disposable nappies! It is not that uncommon a problem I think to have
a child too large for Junior disposables, but obviously not into the
older incontinence market. However, what the solution is I am not
sure. I don't even know where the older child/adult disposables are
sold, but I'm sure they will be premium-priced (and I'll tell you for
free to be careful of any internet sites that advertise adult-sized
nappies ... in my line of work I'm afraid you meet a lot of people
with - shall we say? - very specialist interests! For me it comes with
the territory, but it can be a bit of a shock if you're not expecting
it).

Anyway, my first suggestion would be to contact Peter Stephenson at
the Absorbent Hygiene Products Manufacturers Association on
stephenson.tp@ahpma.co.uk. AHPMA represent the disposable
manufacturers in the UK, so whilst he might not be able to help your
wife in the other side of the world, he should be able to tell you
where you should be looking. The other option is to talk to a local
health visitor - they should be able to tell you where to get them
from, because they must also refer older children with a problem.

Of course, MY advice would be to get Motherease pull up bedwetter
pants in S (40lbs-50lb which is the size for 21kg). After all, if they
are only needed for insurance, they won't need washing every day, and
can go in the wash with other clothes when they do. E-mail me via the
site if you are interested in finding out more.
