I would like to get some more satellite photos of Singapore and
Peninsular Malaysia (particulary Johor state) like the one here

http://straitstimes.asia1.com.sg/mnt/html/downloads/singapore.html

They need to be photographic, because I use them to look for details,
and to identify places that would be interesting to mountain-bike or
sail to. They also need to be recent, because the shape of Singapore
is expanding rapidly with land reclamation, and the sea routes are
shrinking.

Hello Hedin,

The following page collects several high-resolution satellite images
of Singapore

The following two are a little smaller:

However, above image can be ordered on a CD in much higher resolution,
see:

Please contact Richard Chiles at rich@npagroup.com for further

I'm afraid this answer has gone astray. I am looking for satellite
images of Singapore and Johor that are as good or better than the
example I linked to.

All of the included links were either offtopic or showed inferior
satellite maps. I've seen all of these before, anyway. I am paying
$10 for someone who can search google more cleverly than me to find
better/more images like the one I linked to.

Hello Hedin,

Like I pointed out above, there are several resources where you can
buy the satellite images in a high resolution. Or are you exclusively
looking for free ones? If that is the case and you therefore find the
information given not helpful, I suggest you request a refund and
repost the question with that criteria, since in my extended research
I could not find any free images that are of better resolution than
the ones mentioned.

Again, here is the list of satellite images that you can buy:

Satellite Image Library - Overview
http://www.npagroup.com/dataservices/image_library/

Singapore - A Satellite Image From 870 km
http://www.cartographic.com/xq/ASP/AreaID.6/RegionID.232/ClassID.1100/TypeID.1140/ProductID.9909/qx/other_maps.asp

GlobeXplorer - Regional Level
http://www.globexplorer.com/library_r.html

Thank you, and best of luck on your quest!

This answer didn't dig up any nuggets, and in fact, it overlooked some
things -- a friend of mine pointed me to several other good links that
weren't in this answer. Ultimately buying this google answer hasn't
saved me any time or found any treasures.
