You can download NASA Landsat7 images from 2000 for free from https://zulu.ssc.nasa.gov/mrsid/mrsid.pl These are in MrSID format and need to be converted to jp2000 This can be done with LizardTech's GeoExpress 5.0 http://www.lizardtech.com/products/geo/ this is available in a 30 day free trial version http://www.lizardtech.com/download/dl_options.php?page=trials I am sure you recognise that the size of the files involved is enormous. Additionally there is a sample atlas of Afghanistan abstracted from similarly available data, apparently available free from microimages.com http://www.microimages.com/product/tntatlas/Afghanistan.htm they also offer free versions of some of the software and tools http://www.microimages.com/freestuff/ |
