Hi! Sorry but you are most probably out of luck. Here in the UK, the exact time of birth is not publicly recorded, except in the case of multiple births when the time are recorded on their birth certificates. It has been known for children to discover that they were part of a set by this method in cases where the other sibling(s) died shortly after birth or were 'put out' (awfull phrase) for adoption. It is of course possible that the hospitals may have had some records but I doubt if they will have survived. All the Best Bryan |

As mentioned by probonopublico-ga "the hospitals may have had some records". The following documents of "Highfield Maternity Hospital, Wallasey, Cheshire" have survived: Scope 1938-78: admission and birth registers, case notes and other records Repository Wirral Archives Record Reference A/HH/240-45 NRA catalogue reference NRA 28890 Wallasey Maternity http://www.nra.nationalarchives.gov.uk/nra/searches/sidocs.asp?SIR=O91647 "Contact Details" and "Access information" for Wirral Archives as mentioned here: http://www.archon.nationalarchives.gov.uk/archon/searches/locresult_details.asp?LR=140 and here: http://www.wirral-libraries.net/archives/new_page_2.htm Does your birth certificate tell you in which Liverpool hospital you were born? |

Leaflet referring to "Hospital Records" held by the Liverpool Record Office: http://archive.liverpool.gov.uk/leaflets/hospital.html or http://archive.liverpool.gov.uk/leaflets/RO_leaflet_18.pdf among them: Liverpool Maternity Hospital (ref: 614 MAT). You can find out more about "ref: 614 MAT" by going to http://archive.liverpool.gov.uk/catalogue.html Click on "Search the Online Catalogue" and enter "614 MAT" as search term (field "RefNo"). On page 8 of 10 (results) you should find "Records of the Liverpool Maternity Hospital, 1826-1995". Clicking on the number (79) will result in a detailed description of these records. "Birth registers, 36 vols., 1951-1987" are not the ones you are looking for. However, 1936 registers may be elsewhere in this collection. You could ask the "Historical Research Service" how to proceed: http://archive.liverpool.gov.uk/researchservice.html "Contact Details" and "Access information" for Liverpool Record Office are mentioned here: http://www.archon.nationalarchives.gov.uk/archon/searches/locresult_details.asp?LR=138 and here: http://archive.liverpool.gov.uk/contact.html |
