boquinha...
Thanks very much for your question.
Well, I have a fanatic interest in spirituality, human potential,
metaphysics and the like, so that makes it much easier.
- Jesus Christ -
Let's face it, he's the man AND the Son of Man, and just having
him in the room would be a blessing and an honor beyond belief.
- Rudolf Steiner -
One of the most psychic metaphysicians of all time, and author
of countless books which present a fascinating but coherent
view of the cosmology of spirit as it relates to earth.
- Emmanuel Swedenborg -
Another incredibly prolific author who lived most of his life
as a scientist. In his later years, he underwent a revelation
of sorts and was given the ability to see into the spiritual
world and converse with angels and those who had passed over,
and was charged with the task of writing it all down. He
spoke of feeling like the apostle who wrote that he couldn't
tell whether he was in body or in spirit, because he lost
the ability to make the distinction.
- Neem Karoli Baba -
I'll probably end up with more than 5, but I'd have to include
this guy, who was one of the last of the true gurus, and served
that function for Ram Das, AKA Richard Alpert, who consorted
with Timothy Leary as a college professor, and whose understanding
of things was transformed when he met this man in India and
spent time with him. Ram Das wrote 'Be Here Now', and the stories
of his and other disciples of Neem Karoli Baba are chronicled
in a book called 'Miracle of Love'. But he doesn't speak much
English, so I'd have 5 that can converse.
- Gopi Krishna -
An East Indian man who spent the majority of his life as a
married householder with a government position, whose aim
was to be able to retire with enough freedom to spend his
remaining years worshipping God and meditating. He succeeded.
During one of his meditations subsequent to retiring, he
experienced an awakening of the Kundalini, or the transformative
aspect of Life Energy itself. It was only a partial awakening,
as there are two unique paths that two energies must take,
and only one awoke in him. He spent quite some time in pain
and suffering until he understood what had happened, and he
then managed to awaken the missing half. From that moment on
he experience the sheer bliss and creativity that come only
from this form of enlightenment. He spent his remaining years
writing and lecturing to shed light on this process he had
experienced - to demystify and demythologize the process,
and make it more accessible to others.
- Franklin Merrell Wolff -
An American who underwent an awakening without any point of
reference for explaining it, or belief system to plug it into.
Like Gopi Krishna, he was flooded with blissful energy, and
wrote down his observations in a wonderful book called
'Pathways Through To Space', in which he coins the phrase
"consciousness without an object" to describe the true nature
of the enlightened mind.
Just for the sake of having them all in the same room,
I'd also want to invite Harry Palmer, author of the
Avatar Course and materials; U.G. Krishnamurti, an
anti-guru who went through a transformation in which
he literally died physically; and whose senses and
perceptions have been tranformed into what he calls
the "natural state" in which animals live; Paul
Solomon, a spiritual teacher whom I had the pleasure
to learn from in this life, and John Diamond, a
healer and creator of Behavioral Kinesiology and
Life Energy Assessment, whom I also had the pleasure
to meet and learn from.
Oh, and Sri Aurobindo, and J. Krishnamurti, and
Alan Watts, and the founders of Findhorn, and
Don Juan Mateus, and Carlos Castaneda, and Joel
Goldsmith, and Barbara Dewey, and, and...
I think I need a bigger table!
Phew! That's quite a group, but I didn't dare leave any
of these powerful beings off the list... ; )
And of course, you're invited! I'd love to expose
anyone with an open mind to this amazing group of
people.
