There are many clubs/groups of honor organizations that recongize
students of a particular level of GPA, etc. Many students with
learning disabilities might be quite qualified for such organizations
but their handicap has an adverse effect upon their grades. Schools
are required to consider and provide assistance for such students due
to the Americans with Disabilities Act, but do not-for profit group,
such as Tau Beta Pi or Eta Kappa Nu (both engineering honors) have any
similar responsibility?
