I have a HP deskjet 895Cse professional series printer that I've lost a cable for.. I have the cable that connects to the computer (serial port, i think), but I'm missing the power cable. I've tried using other various cables, but none worked. I've looked on the internet for a replacement, but I cant find one. So, the information I need is where can I get a power cable that will work for this printer, thanks. |

Hi there, The power cord you need depends on where you live. A list of cords for each country is at Printer Works, where you can also purchase them: http://www.printerworks.com/Catalogs/DJ78x-Catalog/100DJ78ExtCov_IntComp.html If you happen to find the lost cord, and it is a Longwell "LS-7C" gray two prong power cord - HP are replacing them free of charge: http://h30022.www3.hp.com/canada/ Google search keywords: 895Cse power ://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=895Cse+power Best wishes, robertskelton-ga | |

Hi rbarr, After reading robertskelton's answer (thank you robertskelton!), and since I have the exact same printer, I thought I had better read about the recall myself. I went to the US version of the HP recall site ( http://h30022.www3.hp.com/home1/ ) and all I had to do is tell them what printer I had (Deskjet 895 Cse) and give them my mailing address and a new cable is on the way. You should be able to do the same. Pinky-ga |

Hi again! Yes you will need the adapter. It is AC power adapter C6409-60014 and, as you probably noticed, on the same page as the power cord at the printworks link robertskelton gave you. Good luck, Pinky-ga |
