Hi lisarea. I don't know if I mean multiplexers. Are they the devices that a software program can use to start making automated calls? Or send automatic emails, faxes, etc.? |

The question is not well-defined. One answer is "a computer" but that is probably not what you are looking for. One component of most computers is a modem (modulator/demodulator). For example a cable modem connects a coaxial cable for broadband communications to the rest of the computer. Usually, when someone mentions a modem without adjectives they are referring to a modem that connects a computer to a telephone line. Oh, no. Sorry about that. The thing is that pretty much any kind of telco equipment uses some sort of software. It sounds as though autodialers are what you're looking for. |
