I need to find out as soon as possible if the property located at 1606
Wappoo Road, Charleston, South Carolina is titled in the name of
Lucille Breihahn Shokes or Lily Elizabeth Wittschen Breihahn. My
sister and I are the only two named heirs of this property in the will
of my late grandmother, Lily EW Breihahn. My aunt, Lucille B. Shokes,
who has a life estate in the property is dying in a Georgia hospital.
We are all out of state(SC). Thank you for a prompt reply.

Hello,

Typing out the answer here would be a violation of Google Answers
rules, which prohibit the publication of personal information.
However, I can tell you that the information is definately available
online, and below, I show you how to get it.

1) Go to (http://gisweb.charlestoncounty.org/). Click "Start."

2) Click on "Address."

3) Type the street number and name in the assigned boxes on the right.

The owner's name will appear on the right side of the screen. For more
information on the property, you can click on the parcel number that
will appear there.

Please let me know if you have any other questions. Good luck.

search strategy:

(I used the results to find out what county Charleston is in and what
the county's Web address was.)

Hopefully, you had no problems accessing the database and found out
the information you needed. However, the listing is somewhat
confusing in that it shows "MARGARET LUCILLE B. SHOKES" so the reader
isn't really certain if Margaret is part of Lucille's actual name or
whether Margaret Shokes and Lucille B. Shokes are 2 different people.
If Margaret is a separate person, then whether or not you, tnq, live
in the US or outside of the US, you may want to consult with a real
estate attorney in Charleston (or ask your probate attorney to ask a
real estate attorney to research this question) to find out exactly
what you need to do to protect your interests in this property or
possibly find out whether or not Margaret presently has any legal
rights to a share of this property. Does the name Margaret Shokes
look familiar to you, or do you know who this person is and how they
are related to Lucille?

SINCERELY,
4keith-ga
