This is my first foray into Google Answers...I hope my question is
relatively clear, feel free to ask for any clarifications/details.
I would like to take an Arabic class, and would like for the
researcher to make a recommendation on which program I should select
based on the following criteria:
1. Offered in the evenings, once or twice a week.
2. Located in the district, preferably in the NW quadrant, but
Capitol Hill area could also work.
3. Should cover writing as well as speaking...I want to actually
learn the language not just traveler's survival phrases.
4. Should be offered at several levels. I have taken two semesters of
Arabic, but since that was 3 years ago I would probably only qualify
as something around intermediate/advanced novice.
So, my ideal answer would be not simply a list of programs that fit
these criteria, but a list of programs that fit these criteria along
with your thoughts on each program. I understand if you can't say
unequivocally which is the best one for me, but would appreciate a few
words about why you think Georgetown's is better than Middle East
Institute, for example.
Please also list the cost and provide links for registration for each
program you recommend.
Thanks so much, hopefully this will save me some time and get me
started with the learning sooner! |
