I am looking for a Calvin and Hobbes comic strip where they are trying
to take a good picture of Calvin and he keeps making faces. If it is
not available on line, I have several of the books. A reference to
book and page would be appreciated. I need it to put in my Christmas
cards to explain why there is no picture of my 4 kids - ages 5, 3, 1,
& 1.

nkamom-ga,

I put my 10-year old son to work on this one, and he came up with the
cartoon in no time. Calvin is one of his favorite all-time
characters, even in this age of Pokemon-Ninja-Yugioh-Mario-PowerRanger
action heroes.

Anyway, the cartoon in question does not appear to be online, but can
be found on page 63 of the now-classic: Attack of the Deranged Mutant
Killer Monster Snow Goons.

Hope you have that one!

The cartoon is just a series of wordless panels of Calvin's priceless
face-making exercises, followed by a final panel with the parents
looking at photos:

Dad: That;s our son! <<Sighhh>>

Mom: These pictures will remind us of more than we want to remember.

Let me know if me and my boys can be of any further assistance to you on this one.

Happiest of holidays...!

The cover art from the Tenth Anniversary Book might also be helpful:

Calvin always reminds me of my younger brother. When he was a kid, our
grandma said to him, "Robert, don't make those ugly faces, or your
face will get stuck like that forever." Robert brightened visibly and
said "Really? You promise?"
