I've a friend who owns a copy of the first issue (Volume 1, Number 1)of Reader's Digest dated February 1922. She wants to sell it. How can she determine what it's worth? How can she locate a collector who might want to buy it? She's tried e-Bay with no success. |

Asking prices on abe.com range from US$1000 to ~$300. Value depends on who is willing to buy it. Condition is extremely important to most collectors, and you need to find someone who wants it, a dealer will only pay a small fraction of the 'retail' price. Your best bet may be to approach an auctioneer in your area who specialises in books for an assessment and recommendations. |
