Hello circle2square-ga,

According to the Government of Prince Edward Island, Canada, the egg
carton was invented by Watson duChemin.

This invention, originally of taped compartments, was imitated by one,
Stevens, in substituting cardboard for tape. It appeared an

Hi C2S,

What a ripper of a question! I found bits and pieces of reference for
you, nothing conclusive yet. Like most inventions, they don't just
appear overnight, they emerge from many prototypes. I will wait for a
Researcher to give you their $5 worth first.

This one shows an egg carton machine of 1932.

I guess you saw reference to a Tim Collings' great uncle too. No name though.
