The EPA requires toxicity testing (also called "bioassay tests") to
determine the presence of toxic substances in point source discharges,
stormwater runoff, and soil samples. These tests are conducted
according to procedures described in permits issued by government
regulatory agencies (local, state, and federal). What is the average
price to have a toxicity test done. Specifically a "WET" test (Whole
Effluent Toxicity), to meet NPDES permit requirements?
